Mackay brothers was started by Bob and Dave Mackay in November 2004. Dave has almost 40 years’ experience in the joinery/carpentry business. Bob has over 20 years’ experience in management/sales. We are a family firm with Dave’s son Lewis now an important part of the company, having been with us for 10 years and is fully qualified. We hope that Lewis will be the future of the company and maintain the good reputation we have built over the last 14 years.

Bob speaks wth the customers at our showroom to discuss their needs and arranges a visit to their home if required. Our main focus is on the customer and their requirements. Every job is unique and every customer is important to us. We want to make sure you, the customer, are listened to. Our aim is to make sure that when the job is completed you are 100% happy. We want to leave your home clean and tidy and up to the high standard we would expect in our own homes.

We have recently had new side driveway gates made by Mackay Brothers, following extensive damage to the old gates, in the February storms. The service has been excellent from start to finish, with all appointments and deadlines met precisely - which makes a VERY nice change - alongside friendly and polite service. The finished gates look great, have been painted with three coats of Sadolin in our colour choice, and fit the slightly odd opening, perfectly. The cost was very reasonable for the quality and service. We have no hesitation in recommending Mackay Brothers and their team.
